This notice is for installers and service staff who use the DYNO Rider app. The app requires a company login that we issue; it is not for use by the public. It is given under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia.
If you are a customer rather than a member of our staff, the notice that applies to you is the one for the DYNO Battery app.
1. What the app collects about you
- Your work phone number, which is your username.
- Your company password, to authenticate you. It is sent over an encrypted connection and is not stored on the phone in readable form.
- The fact and time of your logins, and a label identifying the app you logged in from, so that we can tell which account did what and detect misuse of a company account.
- The installation records you submit — the record of work done: which battery went into which vehicle, and when.
Your name and employment details are held in our company systems under your employment relationship, not by this app.
2. What the app collects about customers and vehicles
When you record an installation: the battery serial number, the monitor device serial, the vehicle registration number, and optionally the vehicle make, model and year.
This is customer information that you handle on the company’s behalf. It is covered by the customer notice, and it must not be used for anything other than your work.
3. Kept on your phone only
The app remembers the vehicle makes and models you have chosen recently, so that the pickers offer your usual ones first. This is held in your phone’s secure storage, is never sent to us, and is removed when you uninstall the app.
4. What the app does not collect
- No location. The app asks for location permission because Android requires it before an app may search for Bluetooth devices. The app never reads your location. We do not track where riders are or which route they take.
- No photographs, contacts, microphone or advertising identifier.
5. Why we handle this information
Because it is needed to run the installation service, to keep an accurate record of work performed and of warranties given to customers, and to keep company systems secure.
6. Where it is stored, and who can see it
On servers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Your login records and installation records are visible to your supervisors and to the staff who maintain the system. Encrypted copies of our databases are held for backup purposes on a server in Singapore operated by our group’s technical team.
7. How long we keep it
Installation records are kept for as long as the warranty on the battery runs and for as long afterwards as our legal obligations require, because they are the record of work done for a customer. Login records are kept for as long as we need them to review the security of company systems. We do not keep either for longer than those purposes require.
8. Your rights
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or raise a concern about how it is handled — write to privacy@tukarbateri.com.my.
Two limits, stated plainly. Installation records are the company’s record of work done and of a warranty given to a customer, and login records are how company systems are kept secure, so neither is removed simply on request. If you believe a record about you is wrong, tell us and we will look into it.
9. Security
Connections between the app and our servers are encrypted, and our database backups are encrypted. Access to the systems behind the app is limited to staff who need it for their work.
No system is completely secure. If a breach occurs that affects your personal information, we will act on it and notify you and the relevant authority where we are required to.
10. Changes and contact
Changes will be published on this page with a new date. Contact privacy@tukarbateri.com.my. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the data protection authority in Malaysia.
